well you know that drinking water filter in the kitchen sink next to the standard faucet? i dont know why, but water wont come out. it worked in the morning but when i came home in the evening and tried to get a drink of water, nothing came out. the regular faucet next to it still works fine. i checked under the sink but no pipe/tube seems to be out of place. what could be wrong? i dont want to hire an expensive profesional….

We have iron deposits in the water coming to the house which stains the bath and toilets pretty bad, not to mention the fact that it is a real pain to clean…We already have a whole house filter, but it’s not really doing a great job at getting all the dirt out.

I’d like to know what I can do to FIX the problem permanently ?

…but one puts out cold water and the other hot water. I want to know how this works. Is the water in the jug room temperature? What controls the hot and cold temperatures of the water?

This may seem like a dumb question, but I really have no idea how it works. Can anyone inform me?

Here is a picture of the cooler I’m talking about, if I’ve confused you. :)

I’m not interested in buying one, it’s just that my dad’s office used to have one and I could never figure out how it worked.

The treatment factory packaged treatment plant should be able to handle a minimum of 15,000M3/D water demand (with or without expansion), and should be expandable to about 47,000M3/D. If the aforesaid is not available, let me have what is available, please. Include all options, such as for pre-treatment of water, etc. I had earlier found Z-BOX L System Configuration (Model L192) of GE Water and Process Technologies(ZENON Membrane Sloutions), but have been unable to confirm whether it can fulfill above requirements; I was also unable to verify its price and the prices of options. Help!

Hi, I’m looking for a nice looking water cooler for the home- either bottled or bottleless with a direct line. However, I don’t want an ordinary looking water cooler that you see in an office. I would like it to compliment my home. Does anyone know of one to consider?
Thanks!

My local water treatment facility composts the solid wastes and sells it. I was wondering if the composting made the materials safe to use for food crops. I’d heard E Coli is a potential problem with use of human waste products.

Our new tenants recently changed the filter, didn’t help. The problem tap is in an upstairs master bath. They say this is the only faucet in the whole house with this problem. We lived in the house 4 yrs, never had any problems w/water. It’s a sandpoint well. House is in interior Alaska, built in 1999.

The system they sell in Sav-On and stores like that all show the filter fitting over a typical kitching sink faucet. Does an adapter or something exist for use in a bathroom?

I have had an ice mountain water cooler since about 2001, and it has worked fine. Now im guessing that the inside is dirty or something because now when i push the knob down the water from both the hot water and cold water does not come out as quickly as it should. WHAT TO DO??

my son is doing a research on waste water treatment, and what are the biggest challenges to overcome in the next few years.

I have some empty 5 gallon water jugs from my water cooler at work. Can I use them as carboys to brew beer/wine?

Plastic ID is 7 and it says they should only be used for water.

What is polyelctrolyte added for in the chemical treatment of drinking water?

With new tub, new hot water heater and a whole house reverse osmosis filter seems it shouldn’t. Starts off clear and gets ruddy towards end of fill. What can I do to solve problem? Would appreciate any input – thanks.

I have a Whirlpool under the sink water filter system. The spout on top of the sink has become loose, but to tighten the wing nuts holding it on, I need to remove the tube coming from the filter. Can I remove the tube and reinsert it without losing the seal?

It connects by pushing the tube in and it automatically locks in place.

I mean straw, as in similar to "hay"? Thanks!

Does anyone know if they make glass water coolers for offices? With all the environmental and health issues associated with plastic, wouldn’t it make sense to have a glass water cooler of filtered tap water?

Okay, now I don’t know if our water cooler is just messed up or something; but out of curiosity. What are the two tabs on the two separate dispensers purpose’? There is a white tab, and a blue tab. They both seem to dispense the same water, but it would seem that they both should have different purposes. So is there a difference, and if so, what?

I need to know any experienced water treatment consultant who can help me cleaning my factory’s Cooling tower.

check it out. the under the sink called the reverse osmosis filters cost 9 include install and tax comes with the carbon filter which you have to unscrew and put in new filter every six months. and the other one costs 9 with install and tax. with this one , you throw away the whole filter unlike the carbon filter one. which one is better. also there the whole house filter which comes with water softener and the under the sink filter for 00 with tax and install. any suggestions or opinions are appreciated. thanks.
